Ms. Warner is a partner and attorney with the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota, North Dakota, in the Federal District Court, Districts of Minnesota and North Dakota, and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
Ms. Warner is involved in North Dakota asbestos personal injury litigation, where she is lead counsel for several manufacturers and distributors in personal injury and wrongful death asbestos liability claims. Ms. Warner specializes in civil litigation, with an emphasis on products liability, toxic torts and premises liability. She has also successfully defended individual and corporate clients in a variety of general liability claims.
Ms. Warner represents several clients in complex toxic tort litigation. She is a member of a team of attorneys within the law firm who have served as National Coordinating Counsel and as regional counsel for several manufacturers and distributors of asbestos products. She has defended chemical exposure claims involving styrene, and has represented a defendant in diet drug litigation.
Ms. Warner has also been active in other litigation matters. She was trial counsel in a major federal court case involving a 93 car ore train derailment. She has also been involved in a Federal Trade Commission internet commerce enforcement action, venued in federal courts both in Minnesota and Georgia.
Ms. Warner has successfully defended a number of Asian and European companies in jurisdictional disputes in Minnesota products liability cases. Ms. Warner has been involved in a number of significant decisions of the Minnesota Supreme Court, including the cases of:
