Robert D. Brownson is a partner and attorney in the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP. Mr. Brownson specializes in representing defendants in the Midwest and throughout the United States in asbestos personal injury and insurance coverage litigation, products liability cases, personal injury cases involving mold, lead, benzene, silica, styrene, ceramic fiber, and other chemical and particle toxic exposure, groundwater cleanup and insurance coverage matters, class action cases, professional liability defense, and in construction and surety bond disputes.  Mr. Brownson is a founding member of the Asbestos Liability Risk Analysis (ALRA) Group.

 

D. Scott Ballou is a partner and attorney in the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP. Mr. Ballou is engaged primarily in insurance defense litigation. He has represented various companies, individuals, and public entities in a wide variety of litigation with special emphasis in personal injury litigation pertaining to premises liability, automobile accident liability, discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and copyright and trademark litigation.
 

Thomas J. Linnihan is a partner and attorney in the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP. After spending several years in a general litigation defense practice, Mr. Linnihan has specialized and concentrated his practice in workers' compensation for over twenty-five years. During that period, Mr. Linnihan's practice has been almost exclusively devoted to the defense of workers' compensation claims in Minnesota, together with insurance and subrogation matters arising from workers' compensation and employers' liability.

Kristi K. Warner is a partner and attorney with the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP.  Ms. Warner specializes in civil litigation, with an emphasis on products liability, toxic torts and premises liability. She has also successfully defended individual and corporate clients in a variety of general liability claims in Minnesota and North Dakota. Ms. Warner is currently National Litigation Counsel for an asbestos settlement trust established by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Minneapolis.

Patrick M. Biren is a partner and attorney with the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP. Prior to joining Brownson & Ballou, PLLP, Mr. Biren served for 2 years as judicial law clerk for the Honorable Michael T. De Courcy, Second Judicial District, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Mr. Biren specializes in civil litigation. He represents a wide variety of clients with an emphasis in toxic torts and personal injury litigation involving premise liability and construction-related cases.

Jessie E. Rosenthal is an associate attorney with the firm of Brownson & Ballou, PLLP. Ms. Rosenthal is a 2011 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School.
